Continuing our series on daily journaling prompts, here is a list of journaling topics for every day for the upcoming month! This gives everyone some new ideas for journaling, and can help take the pressure off to think of something to journal about every day, especially for people doing our Page Per Day Challenge.

Some days are the same each month:

At the beginning of each month we write our goals for the upcoming month. Even if you did this earlier in the year, things change so it’s a good idea to re-set and update your goals each month. We also write what we are looking forward to this month.

Mid-month we see what progress we’ve made. This is a chance to jump-start any goals that have slipped off your radar and regain focus.

At the end of the month we write about good things/ favorite moments for the month, and evaluate our goals progress to see what still needs work in the upcoming weeks.

All the other days have new journaling topics and writing prompts!

This month our focus is today. Each day’s topic is going to focus on that particular day. But as always, this is all about you! Feel free to pick and choose which topics you want, do them on different days, do the same one(s) every day, or mix it up weekly instead of daily. It’s up to you!

But no matter which prompts you choose, focus on that day. So you’ll need to do your journaling either in the evening, or the following day to write about each day.

These prompts are designed to help you be more mindful, present, and in touch with the world around you.

Have a great month!

1: What do you want to do this month? Write your goals for the month, and think about what you need to do to accomplish them. What are you looking forward to this month?

2: What were three good things that happened today?

3: What did you do today that was fun? Where were you? Whom were you with?

4: Describe a good conversation you had today. Whom was it with? What did you talk about? How did you feel?

5: What did you eat today? How did your food make you feel? Are you happy with your food choices today?

6: What did you worry about today? Is this something you worry about often? How did you handle your worries? Is there a better way you can handle it, or something you can do about it?

7: Write three things you are grateful for today.

8: If there was anything you could have changed about today, what would it be?

9: What was something you learned today? Where/ how/ from whom did you learn it?

10: What exercise did you do today? How did you feel, mentally and physically?

11: What did you observe in nature/ outside today? What was the weather, the temperature? Did you see any birds or other wildlife? What trees, plants or flowers did you see?

12: What was a problem you solved today? How did you solve it? Did anyone help you?

13: What do you feel happy to have accomplished today?

14: What did you find inspirational today?

15: Mid-month review! How are your goals coming along? What can you accomplish in the remainder of this month?

16: Did anyone help or encourage you today? Describe the person and how they helped you.

17: What was your favorite thing about today?

18: What did you do for someone else today? How did it make you feel?

19: Was there anything that made you angry, upset, or dissatisfied today? How did you handle it? Was there a better way you could have handled it?

20: What did you see today that was beautiful? Why was it beautiful to you?

21: How did you sleep last night? If well, how can you replicate that? If not well, what kept you from sleeping well? What can you do to get better sleep?

22: What was something you procrastinated today? Why did you put it off?

23: Write about something that made you laugh today.

24: Whom did you spend time with today? Describe your relationship(s) with them. How do you feel when you are around them?

25: Where did you go today? What did you do there? Is it someplace you go often? How did you feel when you were there?

26: What were some decisions you made today? How did you feel about these decisions?

27: What was something you found interesting today? Was it something you observed, read, or heard? Why did you find it interesting?

28: Write about a time when you were bored today. Where were you? What was happening? Why were you bored? What did you do to pass the time?

29: What was something you were excited about today?

30: What good things happened this month? What were your favorite moments this month?

31: Month review! How did this month go? Which goals did you complete? What do you still need to work on?
