Continuing our series on daily journaling prompts, here is a list of journaling topics for every day in November! This gives everyone some new ideas for journaling, and can help take the pressure off to think of something to journal about every day, especially for people doing our Page Per Day Challenge.
Some days are the same each month:
At the beginning of each month we write our goals for the upcoming month. Even if you did this earlier in the year, things change so it’s a good idea to re-set and update your goals each month. We also write what we are looking forward to this month.
Mid-month we see what progress we’ve made. This is a chance to jump-start any goals that have slipped off your radar and regain focus.
At the end of the month we write about good things/ favorite moments for the month, and evaluate our goals progress to see what still needs work in the upcoming weeks.

This month’s theme is finding your priorities.
In the Life Noted Month Review post for October, you looked back through your planner to see what you spent the most time on, and therefore what your priorities were that month. That information was the jumping off point to help you determine what you wanted your priorities to be for the upcoming month.
But later I realized, it’s not always obvious what our priorities should be. All too often, we get bogged down in what we think we should be doing, and not paying enough attention to what is actually important to us.
So this month’s journaling prompts are designed to help you think about and decide what is important to you and your life, and what you should be spending your time on.
1: What do you want to do this month? Write your goals for the month, and think about what you need to do to accomplish them.
2: Look back through the past month in your planner or bullet journal. List the 5 things you spent the most time on in the past month.
3: Look at yesterday’s list. The things you spent the most time on were your priorities. Were these things what you wanted or intended your priorities to be? Why or why not?
4: Write a list of 5 things and/ or people you think should be your priorities right now.
5: Look back over your goals for this year. What were they? What did you expect your goal progress should be by now? Have you achieved that progress? Why or why not?
6: Think ahead to a year from now. What do you want your life to be like?
7: Think ahead to 3-5 years from now. What do you want your life to be like?
8: Think ahead to when you retire. What do you want your life to be like?
**Spoiler alert: I think it’s safe to say everyone wants a retirement where they have good health, positive relationships, and a lifestyle where they are able to do activities they enjoy. And to be honest, I think this is what everyone wants at every stage in their lives. So with that in mind, we are going to focus on health, relationships, and lifestyle.
9: Everyone wants to enjoy good health well into old age. Is your current lifestyle supportive of lifelong health? Why or why not?
10: What could you do to help assure lifelong health? (Quitting smoking, exercising more, eating healthier food, etc).
11: Are these healthy habits part of your daily routine? Do you consider them to be priorities? Why or why not?
12: If your goal is lifelong health, what can you do daily now to assure a healthy future?
13: What types of things/ activities do you enjoy? Make a list of things you like doing.
14: How often do you get to enjoy these? How could you do the things you enjoy more often?
15: Mid-month review! How are your goals coming along? What can you accomplish in the remainder of this month?
16: Who are the most important people in your life? Why are they important to you?
17: How much time, on average, do you spend with them?
18: How much time do you spend doing things for them, directly or indirectly?
19: Do the important people in your life know how important they are to you? What could you do to show and/ or tell them?
20: Is there anyone who is important in your life that you don’t spend enough time with? How could you spend more time with them?
21: What are your values? What do you think is important?
22: Today is Thanksgiving Day in the US! Who or what are you thankful for?
23: What do you enjoy about your work?
24: Is your work in line with your values? Do you feel like your work compromises your values in any way?
25: What could you do to bring your work more in line with your values? What could you do to make your work more fulfilling?
26: Do you feel like your work helps people? Why or why not?
27: What could you do to help more people?
28: Look back on your answers to this month’s prompts. What do they indicate your priorities are? Write a list of your priorities. What actions can you take to work these priorities into your life?
29: What good things happened this month? What were your favorite moments this month?
30: Month review! How did this month go? Which goals did you complete? What do you still need to work on?
