On the first Wednesday of each month we have a post with the month’s theme. The month theme is something to think about, journal about, include in your daily intentions, and/or be mindful of all month.
Something I have discovered in life is that looking for opportunities and being ready to act on them when they arise is even more important than having goals. Yes having values and overall goals in life is important. But I’ve done things and been places I never thought I would, because I was ready to jump on opportunities when they presented themselves.
Be on the lookout for different types of opportunities, and get ready to act on them:
Meeting people: You never know where a new contact could lead: a job, a friendship, a relationship, the chance of a lifetime. Be open to meeting new people, and keep in touch. Cultivate new connections. That person might end up to be, or introduce you to, someone very important in your life.
Going places: Be ready to jump on opportunities to go someplace you’ve never been before, whether it’s in your town or on the other side of the world (or anywhere in between). The farther you go, the more new things you will see and the more new opportunities you will find. You never know where it will lead you.
Doing things: Try things you’ve never done before. If you love it, you’ve found something you love. If you hate it, it will make a great story! Especially do things that will allow you to meet new people and go new places.
By meeting new people, going new places and doing new things, you will create situations where new opportunities will arise. Be on the lookout for them and be ready to act! Taking chances on new things will take you places you may never have expected to go.
