Like robins herald spring, Yellow Peeps announce the coming of Easter.
Even though I was never a big marshmallow fan, Peeps were a different story. They were the second thing I ate after the ears off my chocolate Easter bunny. I would trade my sister my jelly beans for her Peeps. We both thought we were getting the better deal, so no fighting there!
Peeps originated in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
We took a few boxes of stale Peeps with us on a camping trip. Our friends were horrified when we toasted them over the campfire – but they were delicious. (If really misshapen.)
