Every writer experiences times when inspiration flows like a torrent, or slows to a trickle. Some times are better for writing than others.
My best time to write is Monday mornings, when I’m refreshed from the weekend and before the busy-ness of the week has a chance to distract me.
Sometimes ideas keep coming to me day after day, and I really get in the zone cranking out writing. When I get like this, it can be hard to switch off.
Other times the ideas come slowly. When this happens, I know it’s time to go do something else for awhile.I’ve found that going someplace else and physically doing something, especially interacting with other people, gets the ideas flowing again.
How do you manage the ebb and flow of your ideas? When you need to recharge your writing batteries, what do you do to get the inspiration juices flowing again?
