Pocket size Clairefontaine and Habana notebooks
I carry a pocket notebook with me everywhere I go, even when I’m out walking my dog. In fact the red Clairefontaine notebook in the photo above is the one I keep in my little bag I take on our walks. I find a pocket notebook very useful for capturing ideas before they disappear, and handy for taking notes from phone calls. It’s a quick and convenient place to jot down information, and easy to find that information again later.
I know I’m not alone in my love for pocket notebooks. In his recent Fan Profile on Rhodia Drive, Brian Furby describes how he uses his pocket notebooks:
Despite the fact that I do the majority of my work from home, I never leave the house without a pocket notebook as part of my everyday carry. Many people find it easy to make notes on their phones, and while I do that myself, there’s nothing like putting pen to paper. I make lists, take notes in meetings, and pass along my contact information in the event I don’t have a business card handy.
Pocket notebooks come in a variety of bindings including stapled, spiral, or sewn like the Habana notebook shown above.
Do you use a pocket notebook? Is it part of your everyday carry? What do you tend to write in it? Please post a comment!
I have traded a phone app for a page-a-day pocket notebook for my daily to-do list. So much faster to add and check off tasks on paper than electronically.
Plot points everywhere! Purse, car office, computer bag…absolutely.
I always have a pocket notebook and pen. I carry them constantly. Very handy, all sorts of things go in.
