Coming in 2016…White Paper Notebooks

Post Comment

Quo Vadis’ “Soft & Color” notebooks will be included in our 2016 catalog.   I would like the feedback of Quo Vadis Blog readers on what size(s) and what color bindings you would prefer.

The great feature and benefit of Soft & Color notebooks is that they lay flat when open.  The signatures are stitched, but the binding is ultra-flexible.

The cover is soft and sleek.  The binding colors include orange, turquoise, pink, grey and violet.

The paper is white, ruled, and 85g, so it will be fountain pen friendly.

The notebooks are available in three sizes:  Compact – 6″ x 8 1/4″, Square – 6 1/4 x 6 1/4, and Pocket – 4″ x 6″.

We have been looking forward to importing these notebooks to the US for almost two years.  We saw the first prototype in 2014 and fell in love with them.  Soft & Color also sports a new modern agenda format.  We plan to introduce this new edition for 2017.

Here’s where I need your help:  What size or size most appeals to you? Which color binding?

  1. I would love both a compact notebook and a pocket notebook. Turquoise and Violet are my favorite colors, so I would vote for those.

  2. Honestly, I love the 6.25 x 9.25 of the Habana. Give me 8mm or larger ruling and I would be in heaven. I’d buy whatever color you wrapped it in.

I stopped buying the Habanas specifically because of the narrow ruling. My writing is much too cramped at that size.

  3. Definitely the pocket size and then one of the larger sizes. Any colors except the orange and the gray. What is the page ruling? The 8mm ruling is why I don’t buy Clairfontaine branded products. The Rhodia ruling is tolerable but pushing it.

  4. I am all into orange right now. I have never had a square notebook,so that would be my first choice. I generally prefer the compact size as it works for every purpose. My fountain pens love your paper no matter what size.

  5. I have trouble writing in any notebook smaller than the rhodia #16 (14.8 by 21 cm) size, so I’d want the compact or the alluring square format. (So hard to find square notebooks…)

    I’m also a sucker for blue/turquoise.
