My Clutter Desk

I used to pride myself on thinking I kept a pretty neat desk, but in fact, I don’t.  My desk is full of meaningful clutter that keeps me amused and relaxed.

When I need to take a break from the computer screen, or map out a resolution to some problem or mess, I take a minute to play. I spin my gyroscope, examine the megalodon tooth, tap Mr. Met on the head, or wind up the spinning seal and watch him walk next to the keyboard.

If there is too much clutter on my desk or work area I can’t concentrate; but if I don’t have some interesting little objects close by I get bored.  I need to step out to focus better.

What do you do to take a mental break?
