Dispatch from Long Island Pen Show 2014

Post Comment

Today is the LI Pen Show! I will be sending updates periodically throughout my time there so check back for a taste of the show.

Update 1 – 9:41 am

Of course I would be sick today. Great start so far! I am currently on the LIRR Hempstead bound where the show will take place at Hofstra University. I almost attended that school once upon a time. Anyways I should be there around 11 am. Still looking forward to meeting my future Sailor pen. Speaking of sailor I have a few new items with me that I’m bringing to the show including Clairefontaine’s new Maritime collection.

Update 2 – 11:00 am

I’m here! Look at all the Rhodia goodness

Update 3 – 11:05 am

Update 4 – 2:02 pm

Well I didn’t get my Sailor yet but I did make my first purchase of the day a gorgeous Platinum 3776. Special thanks to Terry Brack for it!

Update 5? – 3:02 pm

Parker 45 is a bit underrated no? Well I just picked one up from the good folks at Anderson Pens and I love how it looks. It has an interesting pump mechanism to fill the pen which is going to be fun to play with. I should go before I buy anything else. Before I sign off here’s a pretty cool vintage ad from Sheaffer.
