By now, it’s probably a familiar pattern: once upon a time, I used to be able to (do this nifty thing that helped me stay organized), but now I (forget to do it/struggle with it/have given up entirely).
Nonetheless! One habit I’m determined to keep is to unpack my entire suitcase as close as possible to the time I come home from a trip.
This takes enormous discipline, and I’ll admit that after a two-legged flight followed through a grim slog through NYC traffic, I was not able to do anything last night other than collapse in front of the fireplace and feel giddily grateful to be home.
But this morning, while my son was busy rediscovering his toys, I started putting his clothes away, and I’m determined to be done with everything by the end of the day. We’ll see.
How quickly do you unpack?
