If you’ve been to (or live in) Hawai’i, you may already know this, but it was news to me: apparently, you can mail a coconut! I was flipping through an old issue of National Geographic when I came across that fact. The Hoolehua post office processes about 3,000 coconut postcards per year; here’s an article I found online on how, exactly, to go about doing it (dry it out, address it, slap on some stamps).
Who’d a thunk?
That is the sound when you drop it in the mailbox—-THUNK!!!
