J. Herbin has recently created a second limited edition ink. “Ocean Blue” will be a companion ink to its 1670 Anniversary ink.
The Ocean Blue color is completely new. I understand the color will be somewhere between Eclat de Saphir and Bleu Nuit.
Like the Anniversary ink color commemorates the color of the J. Herbin logo, Ocean Blue is tied to the travels of the founder, M. Herbin, who was a sailor on ships bound for India and other points East for spice trade.
I have heard the ink is due to be released in September 2012. I hope to have a supply within a few weeks – it depends on the how fast we receive it via ship from France.
As soon as we receive a supply, one of the first people to get a bottle will be a lucky raffle winner from Quo Vadis Blog! As I get more information on the ink, including a picture of the bottle, I will share it with you.
